According to a study by Clickstream,there has been an increase of over
300% in the no. Of people leaving search engines and going to video sharing
sites,which shows that people are now more than ever inclined to leave text
based sites to video oriented sites.
Actually this shift was long expected…..It’s a proven fact that most of the
people prefer watching video than reading through lengthy text.Now the
decreased cost of hosting,advancement in web technology and faster than
ever internet connections have allowed a large section of both the internet
marketers and general internet users to share and consume information in the
video format.
Most of the internet marketers are still either plain ignorant about the
potential of this massive traffic channel or don’t know how to tap on its user
base.
I am not exaggerating but it’s a matter of fact: If the past decade
belonged to PPC and Article marketing then the next one is going to
belong to video marketing.
Youtube and other video sharing sites have enabled us(The ordinary
individuals) to spread our message(be it political,religious,business related
or just for fun) to a wide audience.Till a few years ago,this privilege was
reserved for the major television networks and their wealthy advertisers.
For many businesses(small enterprises as well as Fortune500
companies),Youtube has become the main promotional platform.There is a
friend of mine who has developed a big six figure IM business out of the
Youtube alone.
